Secret the Unicorn isn’t just a bit of post-production magic—she’s 100% real, with a one-of-a-kind personality that brings fairytales to life.

Her presence creates unforgettable moments for every unicorn-loving child (yes, boys are welcome, too).

Unicorn season runs from June through September. Sessions are offered on a handful of dates and are only available at the select times due to the amount of prep work required to get Secret ready for sessions.


Your Unicorn Experience includes….


  • Unlimited hugs, kisses, and spontaneous smiles and licks (from Secret of course)

  • Treat bag of Froot Loops to feed her (Secret’s favorite treat!)

  • Experienced horse handlers, and this makes a huge difference. Secret is my own horse - we’ve actually been doing these for over a decade. My handler, Mel, has been working with her for years. We know how to get the best interactions out of her and your child to give her (and you) an experience you will never forget. I hear stories about these little girls still talking about Secret years after their session, and we have many repeat clients who just can’t get enough of her.

  • Access to my client wardrobe and headpieces. I have hundreds of dresses from size 2 up to 12, specifically picked for these sessions. All are free to use at no charge, so you don’t have to spend a fortune on a beautiful wardrobe, we already have it for you.

  • Magical Editing….every image gets that extra touch of magic added, the cotton candy sky, at no additional cost to you. Also, what you don’t see is the behind the scenes elements (halter and handler removal - at no point is your child’s safety put at risk. There is always a handler present, and she must be removed from all the images).

  • Choice of sets throughout the seasons….Secret has several looks, which include her pastel rainbow “outfit” through the summer months, sunflowers for the fall, and her most magical Christmas outfit (still shot in September….yes all that glorious snow gets added in during editing as well). I will also be offering a tea party set for the first time this year!


INVESTMENT

Sessions start at $275 for a single child photo experience and go up depending on amount of children and images included.


  • All children must be a minimum of 18 months to participate due to safety.

    And yes, adults are allowed to participate….whether you want to jump in with your children or participate in a session by yourself, you are welcome to sign up.

  • Yes! I have dresses ranging from size 1 to 14 you can borrow at no additional charge as well as headpieces. Before your session, you’ll receive a link with available options to select from or I will provide info on what to look for if shopping for your own dress.

  • These moments happen, and we navigate them gently. Whether Secret needs to roam through the background while we reset, or you need to step in close to help soothe, pet, or feed her, we follow the cues in front of us to find the best path toward authentic images. Our experience allows us to adapt quickly and choose techniques that still bring out heartfelt moments. For especially shy children, I always recommend coming fully dressed and prepared to participate in the session if that extra comfort becomes helpful.

  • If you purchase a solo session for your daughter, your son can jump in for a few shots at no additional charge. If you want to have them have equal time, you do need to purchase an additional child add-on.

  • We simply reschedule. Sometimes reschedules are needed due to heat/humidity as well. Multiple date options will be given and I work hard to accommodate everyone with dates that work.

  • Let me know as soon as you can. Deposits are non-refundable unless your spot rebooks. I will work diligently to get it filled if that is the case, or if I have any open spots on other dates, will offer you those as well.

  • Deposits are due at booking with the rest of your package balance due at the time of your session.

  • Due to the amount of prep work that goes into sessions, Secret is only available on the offered mini dates. If you simply want a session with one of the other miniature horses at the farm (unthemed), you can book a private session with them.

  • The standard unicorn session is “Rainbow Pastel”. These are sessions in the field and Secret wears rainbow pastel colored florals. I also offer 1-2 other themes throughout the summer. Past sessions have included and vary by year in offering:

  • Unicorn sessions are the only type of session gift cards can not be used toward. Most years sessions book quickly and to offer everyone an equal chance of booking, gift cards are not accepted since I can not guarantee a spot will be open to use it.
